Consultative Services

Provide consultative services to healthcare, long-term care, retirement, instititional living and food manufacturers.

Analyze systems and procedures for administration, food services, nursing, housekeeping and laundry services. 

Review and analyze food procurement, menu production including labour, menu review and food costs for your food service and nutrition department.

Education & Training

Develop and provide education/training to healthcare workers, and professional audiences working within the healthcare market, specifically senior living.

Coordinate and develop education on best practices for nutrition, meal assistance training, dining service, IDDSI training, PIDAC housekeeping education, IPAC for healthcare workers/caregivers.

Write nutrition articles, fact sheets and communication pieces for consumer and professional audiences.

Menu & Recipe Development for Healthcare Sector and Food Industry

Menu development for all diets & texture types including menu analysis & review; Large quantity recipe development with nutritional analysis & recipe photos for seniors living and food industry. 

Plan and review menus and recipes to meet client needs including toddlers, youth, adults and seniors based on Ontario Ministry of Health regulations and Canada's Food Guide. 

Provide recommendations for improving the nutritional profile of products and recipes; develop large quantity recipes for healthcare operators, food photography & complete nutrient analysis of recipes provided for a variety of client platforms including websites, marketing publications. 

Operational Reviews

Onsite program evaluations including nutrition & hydration, food service operations, infection prevention and control, quality programs, and housekeeping/laundry services.  Complete an analysis and recommendations in long-term care, retirement and assisted living to review operations/staffing levels/job routines & processes and infection control.

Manual & Policy Development

Expertise in development of policy & procedures for Food Services, Infection Prevention and Control, Environmental Services, and Administration according to best practise documentation, Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority regulations.

Risk Management & Quality Improvement

Assist with risk identification, development of strategies, monitoring & benchmark comparisons  for food service operations including nutrition and hydration,  housekeeping, and infection prevention and control practises.

Calorie Counts & Allergen Charts 

Analyze recipes to determine nutrition facts, calorie counts and allergen management guidelines.
